Teamwork That Feeds Community
This year Lockaway Storage has made it a goal to strengthen our community, both within the team and in the community we live and work in. On August 20, 2025, the San Antonio Lockaway team spent the afternoon volunteering at the San Antonio Food Bank. The team got in the zone and sorted through veggies to put together 50-lb bags of onions, carrots, and potatoes.
As a result of all the hard work and sweat (it was hot in there), we were able to pack 240 fifty-pound bags of veggies which will provide an incredible 9,076 meals to the local communities! The Lockaway District Manager of the San Antonio region attended and said, “It was an honor and a true blessing for our team at Lockaway Storage to volunteer at the San Antonio Food Bank, working together to package food for families in need. Giving back to the community is a core value we hold close, and we’re proud to partner with the San Antonio Food Bank in their mission to fight hunger and bring hope to so many. We look forward to continuing our support and service alongside such an impactful organization.”
The San Antonio Food Bank helps so many people and families in need and they rely on the support from volunteers. You can support by giving time, money, voice or food donations. The Lockaway Storage team was excited to give their time to help their community. The company's Marketing Coordinator shared their personal experience, stating, "It was amazing to see our team come together, it has inspired me to volunteer more at the San Antonio Food Bank. I can't wait to see what else we accomplish this year and years to come!"
With future community-focused plans already in the works, the Lockaway team is eager to continue their efforts, demonstrating a clear commitment to making a lasting difference in the San Antonio community.
