RV, Boat and Large Drive-Up Storage in Conroe, TX: What Little Egypt Road Offers
Northwest Conroe and the Montgomery area have a lot of people with more stuff than driveway. Boats, RVs, work trailers, shop equipment, a second car project. If that sounds like your yard, here’s what you can store at Lockaway Storage - Little Egypt, and how to pick the right space.
Why Little Egypt Road Works for Big Items
The facility is at 11219 Little Egypt Road, off Longmire Road near Old Highway 105 West. It’s an easy drive from Montgomery, Panorama Village, Willis and Northwest Conroe, and a short trip to Lake Conroe.
The layout is built for larger loads: drive-up units with tall doors, outdoor parking and a space for emptying an RV before you park it.
Outdoor RV and Boat Parking With a Dump Station
We have outdoor spaces about 30 and 40 feet long. That covers most travel trailers, fifth wheels, Class C motorhomes and boats on trailers.
There’s also an on-site dump station. If you’re coming home from a trip, you can empty the tanks on the way in instead of doing it somewhere else. We also have canopy parking spaces if you want a roof over the vehicle.
Enclosed Parking
If you’d rather keep the rig out of the weather entirely, there’s an enclosed 14' x 45' parking space with a 14 foot tall door and a power outlet. That’s the one to look at for taller RVs, larger boats and anything you want completely closed up.
Large Drive-Up Units
Beyond parking, Little Egypt has a range of big drive-up units on the 1st floor, with power outlets:
12' x 30', 12' x 35', and 14' wide units from 14' x 35' up to 14' x 50'. The 14 foot wide units have 14 foot tall doors, and the largest, a 25' x 50' unit, has a motorized door.
These are a good fit for contractors, landscapers, car collectors, anyone with a workshop, and larger moves. Our post on making good use of a large storage unit has ideas for laying one out, and our guide to uses for storage units with power outlets covers what the outlet is good for.
Climate Controlled Units for Smaller Items
Not everything needs a garage door. The same facility has climate controlled units from 5' x 10' up to 10' x 20', which keep temperatures between 50 and 80 degrees and humidity between 30 and 50 percent. That suits furniture, electronics, documents and keepsakes. Our post on storing wood furniture explains why it matters.
If you’re not sure what you need, see our climate controlled storage page.
Which RVs and Trailers Fit
We see travel trailers, fifth wheels, toy haulers, pop-ups, motorhomes, boats, utility trailers and cars. Our post on types of RVs and trailers you can store has more detail. Measure the full length, including the hitch, ladder and bike rack, and check the height before you pick enclosed parking.
What to Bring When You Rent
A government-issued photo ID and a payment method. For RVs, boats and trailers you may also need registration, title and proof of insurance. Insurance or tenant protection is required, and you can use our plan or your own qualifying policy.
Rentals are month to month. You can rent online or by phone, and online rentals send the rental agreement and access instructions by email or text.
Storing for Winter or the Off Season
If the RV is sitting for a few months, a little prep helps. Our tips for storing your RV during winter cover tires, batteries, tanks and moisture.
