A Message to Our Customers Regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

We here at Lockaway Storage take the health and safety of our customers and Team Members very seriously. We want to take this opportunity to assure you that we are prepared in this unprecedented situation. As a leader in the self-storage industry, we’re continuing to do what we do best – offering exceptional customer service experiences and finding storage solutions to fit your needs.

We understand how difficult this situation is for everyone and know that during a time of constant change, confusion and questions are normal. We are here for you and will do our best to stay in communication through our website, by email, and by phone. We hope, in some small way, to make this time easier for you.

We are here to serve you and your personal needs as always. We are proud to be able to provide uninterrupted services to our customers as long as we can,* but with all necessary precautions in place to reduce the risk of community spread.

For both your own health, and that of our Team Members, we are recommending that our customers only visit their storage units for essential items; this helps to minimize everyone’s risk. Our offices remain open, but we have implemented social distancing procedures. For the time being, only one customer is allowed in the office at a time. Therefore, we recommend calling beforehand and speaking with one of our friendly self storage managers. There will also be a sign on the office door at each location with the number to call to speak with our Team Members, so you may proceed without contact if you prefer.

We are following all the guidelines suggested by the CDC, Health Department, and other appropriate agencies. We are also implementing additional health and safety efforts during this unprecedented situation. We have communicated these procedures to our team, including: limiting contact with other Team Members, closing some offices and encouraging customers to interact online, shifting schedules to limit the number of Team Members working at one time, canceling in-person meetings and non-essential travel, encouraging Team Members to stay home if they are sick, and implementing even more frequent and intensive hygiene and cleaning protocols in all our facilities.

We ask for your help during this time; please, whenever possible, take advantage of our many options for service online, through email, or over the phone. Remember that we are always open and serving our customers through our website, which offers online reservations, payments and customer information through our website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your convenience.

We will continue to monitor advisories from government officials and public health agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We are also gathering information from our industry partners and are taking steps to ensure our preparedness as the situation develops.
